Miu Miu will once again take over the Palais d'Iéna, headquarters of the Conseil économique, social et environnemental, for an exhibition under the artistic direction of Alice Diop, according to Journal du Luxe. The filmmaker would be venturing into curation for the first time, after directing an episode of the Miu Miu Women's Tales short-film series, launched by the brand fifteen years ago. At the end of 2025, she had directed episode number 30 of the series, titled « Fragments for Venus ».

The exhibition, named « Geste de Consolation », will run from 21 to 25 October 2026. It would take the form of a multidisciplinary journey blending film, photography, poetry, sculpture, dance, music and performances. With this initiative, Alice Diop would seek to question the representation of Black women, past and present.

The journey will unfold across four spaces, including a room called « Chambre à soi », decorated with quilts by Mary Lee Bendolph (Gee's Bend) and filled with books by authors such as Zora Neale Hurston, June Jordan and Zadie Smith. The filmmaker will combine her own work with that of other artists, such as photographer Zanele Muholi and sculptor Simone Leigh.
