Sabina Belli would be appointed president of Kering Italia effective September 15, according to WWD. Based in Milan, she would report to Luca de Meo, Kering's chief executive officer. Head of Pomellato since 2015, she would be replaced in that role by Charlotte Fournet.
At the same time, Krizia Cucurachi would be appointed chief executive officer of DoDo, also effective September 15, 2026, succeeding Teejana Beenessreesingh at the helm of the group's younger jewelry line. Fournet and Cucurachi would both report to Jean-Marc Duplaix, Kering's chief operating officer and chief executive officer of Kering Jewelry, and would also be based in Milan.
Internal career paths within the group
Fournet has more than fourteen years of experience in merchandising and product strategy in luxury. She joined Saint Laurent in 2014, then Gucci in 2019 and Bottega Veneta in 2020, where she most recently held the position of collections merchandising director. Cucurachi joined DoDo in 2024 as global product and brand director, after more than a decade at Swarovski and marketing roles at L'Oréal and Lindt & Sprüngli.
Before joining Pomellato, Belli held marketing leadership positions at WPP, L'Oréal Luxe and LVMH, including at Christian Dior Parfums, Moët Hennessy, Veuve Clicquot and Bulgari. She sits on the board of the Fondation Kering and serves as vice president for jewelry and manufacturing talent at Altagamma. She founded Pomellato for Women in 2017 and, in 2018, launched the Virtuosi Academy training program with the Galdus Goldsmith Academy in Milan.
A visible Italian anchor
Belli would continue to oversee the Kering Accademia per le Eccellenze, an initiative dedicated to preserving Italian craftsmanship and training the next generation of manufacturing talent through 2035. This project was unveiled by de Meo and Belli in April, the day before Kering's Capital Markets Day in Florence; the first classes would begin in the first half of September.
Italy is home to several of the group's houses, including Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Brioni, Ginori 1735 and Kering Eyewear, alongside Pomellato and DoDo. More than a quarter of Kering's global workforce is said to be based in the country.
« Italy occupies a unique place in Kering’s history, identity and future. Its creativity, craftsmanship and industrial excellence are at the heart of our houses and the long-term vitality of the luxury industry », said Luca de Meo. He added that Belli « brings a deep understanding of the Italian luxury ecosystem and a strong ability to build partnerships across business, education and public institutions ».
Kering stated that she would help advance initiatives promoting industrial excellence, innovation and sustainability along the luxury value chain, while preserving Italian artisanal know-how.
A jewelry pillar under construction
In March, Kering signaled its ambitions in the jewelry segment with the creation of a dedicated entity intended to structure and accelerate the growth of Boucheron, Pomellato, DoDo and Qeelin, brands said to collectively generate close to one billion euros in annual revenue. The group is also in the process of acquiring, in stages, the Italian family-owned manufacturer Raselli Franco Group, with the goal of a full acquisition by 2032.
« Jewelry is a strategic growth pillar for Kering. Pomellato and DoDo are two highly distinctive houses with strong identities and tremendous potential », said Jean-Marc Duplaix, who noted that these appointments reflect the group's commitment to developing the next generation of leaders internally.
