According to FashionUnited France, Gucci has reportedly been selling two new sneaker models labelled « Made in China » for some time. The first, called Drip and part of the Primavera collection, is said to have launched last month and sells in Europe for around 800 euros. A second model, a leather slip-on sneaker from the same collection, is also said to be made in China.

Gucci, owned by the Kering group, is seeking to turn around its sales: according to Reuters, its revenue is said to have been halved in three years. The brand has also cut prices on certain products in order to regain market share.

Gucci also states that Italy remains « toujours au cœur » of its production model and identity. On 25 September, Gucci had also unveiled the SS27 collection by its creative director Demna, during a show called « The Store Show ».
