BazarChic has announced the appointment of Emilie de Fautereau as chief executive officer, according to a company statement. The French flash-sales platform, founded in 2006, distributes exclusive, time-limited offers in the fashion, beauty, home and lifestyle categories.
A graduate of ESCP who grew up in Angleterre, Emilie de Fautereau claims more than 20 years of experience in the transformation and development of consumer businesses. Her career includes the relaunch and digital transition of brands such as Oasis and Schweppes. She then spent 5 years as vice-president of brand and consumers for Europe at Meetic Europe (Match Group), before becoming chief marketing and growth officer at Leocare.
More recently, she is said to have served as chief executive officer of Aliive Groupe, a structure that notably includes Dietbon and KitchenDiet. Over an 18-month term, she is said to have led the company's turnaround, moving growth from -25% to +42%, while restoring a positive EBITDA.
A mission of growth and desirability
« BazarChic bénéficie d'un véritable capital auprès de ses clients et de ses marques partenaires. Mon ambition est aujourd'hui d'accélérer sa transformation et de renforcer encore sa désirabilité pour construire une croissance durable », Emilie de Fautereau is said to have stated in a press release.
The executive's mission is to steer the company's next growth phase and optimise relationships with partner brands. She will draw on her experience to consolidate BazarChic's position in the upscale e-commerce segment. The main objective is to strengthen the retailer's appeal and improve the shopping experience offered to customers.
