The Plaza hotel in New York, owned by the Fairmont group, and Lacoste are renewing their collaboration from August 12 to September 6, according to a press release. The partnership spans hospitality, in-hotel installations and a retail offering, during New York's tennis season.
At the heart of this collaboration, Café Lacoste, the brand's café concept, returns to the hotel's Palm Court, located at 768 Fifth Avenue, with a revisited afternoon tea menu. Served daily from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., it is offered starting at 150 dollars. The menu, created by executive chef Muhannad Al Ateem and executive pastry chef Kevin Clemenceau, pairs French flavours with nods to tennis, including a signature pastry, the Polo du Café Lacoste.
An immersive decor and a dedicated pop-up

The experience extends beyond the tea room. The steps at the Fifth Avenue entrance are dressed in Lacoste green, while the lobby hosts an installation inspired by the world of tournaments. The historic Edwardian Room, for its part, houses an exclusive Lacoste pop-up offering accessories, limited-edition pieces and co-branded apparel created for the occasion. Themed cocktails, a musical atmosphere and dedicated decor round out the experience.
Sam Ioannidis, general manager of The Plaza, said that last year's partnership had been « un grand chelem », and that the establishment was delighted to continue in this vein this season.
Reservations for the afternoon tea are available via OpenTable.
