The outdoor brand K-Way, owned by Italian group BasicNet, has announced the appointment of Nathalie Schneider as director for the French market. The label was founded in Paris in 1965.

Nathalie Schneider began her career in 1998 at Levi Strauss & Co., where she rose through the ranks to become general manager of the French subsidiary of the denim specialist. She then joined the Fast Retailing group in 2014, as global retail and wholesale director for the Comptoir des Cotonniers and Princesse Tam Tam brands. In 2018, she joined the British brand Dr. Martens as retail director for the EMEA region, before taking over as its general manager.

At K-Way, her mission will be to increase the desirability of the label and to drive its growth across all sales channels in France. The investment fund Permira has taken a stake in BasicNet, opening up new prospects for international growth.

« K-Way est une marque qui a une histoire forte, une communauté de clients fidèles et des partenaires engagés. Je suis impatiente de travailler avec les équipes pour accélérer notre développement et faire rayonner la marque en France », the new director said in a statement issued by K-Way.
