The CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund will hold its Americans in Paris showroom on October 3 and 4, during Paris Fashion Week, according to WWD. The ten current finalists of the program would present their new collections there at 240, rue de Rivoli. This edition marks the 20th of the event, according to the outlet.

The showroom brings together Aisling Camp, Amir Taghi, Terrence Zhou of Bad Binch Tongtong, Emily Dawn Long, Jamie Haller, Julia Ferentinos of Juju Vera, Zane Li of Lii, George Inaki of Milamore, Claire Sullivan of Miss Claire Sullivan, and Zoe Gustavia Anna Whalen. It offers global exposure, sales, marketing and media support to help the designers grow their respective businesses.

L'initiative is backed by Allison Sarofim, chair of Friends of the CFDA. Steven Kolb, chief executive officer and president of the CFDA, explains that « les designers présenteront leur travail lors de la New York Fashion Week, et qu'Americans in Paris permettra de prolonger cette dynamique ». He adds that « Paris, dernière étape du calendrier mondial de la mode, réunit éditeurs, acheteurs et responsables de l'industrie du monde entier », and that the Paris event gives the finalists « une opportunité supplémentaire de nouer des liens et d'étendre la portée internationale de leurs entreprises ».

Allison Sarofim, for her part, points out that « la mode prospère sur l'échange » and that creating opportunities for these emerging designers to meet and grow on a global stage is, in her words, « incroyablement significatif et inspirant ».

The event follows on from the visibility gained in New York, ahead of the Paris stop on the global fashion calendar.
